| It looks like I'm not going back to school this year. Shit.
The loans that we had coming...well, they didn't. My parents royally fucked themselves getting divorced and getting remarried-- to fix it they filed for chapter 13 bankrupcy less than three months ago so none of the loans would go through. Do you know how hard it is to find someone to co-sign a loan? In one word--Impossible.
So Toledo, you get me. I'm going to be taking this semester off, going to either UT or BG next semester, and then hiting up UC again next fall. It sucks a little, but really, it's not the end of the world. Or that's what I keep telling myself.
At any rate, I could probably use some cheering up.
| So, life is going quite well for me at the moment--yay! But I think there MUST be something wrong with me, through all of this stuff going on --which I am genuinely happy about, don't get me wrong--I can't help but wait for the other shoe to drop. It can't be that things will just all of a sudden start being all good; that's just not NATURAL (enter "but Oak Express is"). I don't want to be one of those negative people, mostly because those people annoy the bejesus out of me. I have a solution.
LIST OF GOOD STUFF!
1. New friends 2. New friends with potential 3. I have FINALLY gotten my license 4. School financial woes look to be clearing up 5. Hell yes for getting into the new dorms 6. Only 2 weeks left with the parental units
Booyah negativity! | | |
| So here I am, back for an update.
Summer has been uneventful so far, and I'm still on the lookout for a decent job--the one I have at the moment just isn't cutting it. I'm praying for TPS to go back to school...the parents are starting to drive me nuts. For those of you who don't know, my father is a teacher and my mother is a sub. One of the worst things about having teachers as parents has got to be that they think they know EVERYTHING. I got a lecture a few days ago on the effects of morphine on a person from my father, even though he was aware I have JUST taken a class on drugs and their effects. I guess knowing he was wrong on most of it is enough redemption from me.
Well, this is a minor update, and I haven't really said anything--but it's something. Catch y'all later.
| Well then, it's about time for me to write something new. Let me start off by saying 2005 has already proven to be an interesting year--I'm not sure what's in store for the next 9 months, but if it keeps with the trend set it should be pleasant enough.
I still hate my roommate...but considering she wears a lot of pink and actually likes listening to Celine Dion that's really to be expected. Hopefully when we get back from spring break one of us will be moving out--I vote she leaves.
I've met a few interesting people this quarter, one being a new friend. She goes by the name Angela, but I doubt that's her real name seeing as I don't think people name their children things like that on her home planet. Anther of the newbies is Mike--or as I like to call him, the Devin clone. He's not nearly as smart, but still fun to be around.
Speaking of Devin, I've been talking to him a lot more lately, which has been really nice--something about him is really refreshing. He doesn't seem to create drama, which is something I really appriciate. Unnecessary drama just gets on my nerves, as funny as that sounds coming from a theater nerd.
Anyway, that's really it...I'm on spring break and will be in Toledo for the next week. Give me a call if you would like to get together--419-704-0661
